Intradural Spinal Lipoma

Abstract

|
A case of intradural spinal lipoma in a 18-year-old girl is presented. With a total laminectomy of T-1, through T-7, there revealed a complete filling of lipoma into the subarachnoid space. A minute piece of bone was found at T-6 level and removed from the arachnoid which was firmly attached to the tumor. No cleavage plane or proximal and distal ends of tumor was identified. In this case marked recovery could be obtained following only extensive decompressive surgery.
